Walking for Wheels for Jamie: Join Us for a Coastal Walk That Changes a Life

At Rosemont Care, we believe that independence and dignity should never be out of reach and that sometimes, the most powerful way a community can help is simply by showing up. That’s why we’re proud to support Walking for Wheels for Jamie, a sponsored coastal walk taking place on Saturday 11th July 2026, raising funds for a life-changing wheelchair for Jamie.

Meet Jamie

Jamie’s strength and positive spirit inspire everyone around him. Like many young people living with a disability, Jamie relies on a wheelchair to get around, but his current chair limits the freedom and independence he deserves. A new, properly fitted wheelchair would open up opportunities that are currently out of reach: greater comfort, more independence, and the ability to take part in everyday activities alongside family and friends.

That’s the goal behind this walk and it’s one we’re asking our community to get behind.

The Walk: Reculver Castle to Margate Beach

Organised by Rosemont Care, the walk follows one of the most beautiful stretches of the Kent coastline.

Walkers of all paces and abilities are welcome to join for all or part of the route. It’s a chance to enjoy the sea air, spend time with friends and neighbours, and take real, practical steps — quite literally — towards helping Jamie get the independence a new wheelchair will bring.
