A Walk to Remember
Setting off from Reculver Castle and finishing at Margate Beach, our walkers took on one of the most scenic stretches of the Kent coastline in support of Jamie. Whether people joined for the full route or just part of it, every step was a step towards giving Jamie greater independence and freedom.
The atmosphere on the day was one of real community spirit, friends, families, and supporters walking together for a cause that means so much to everyone involved. We’ll be adding photos from the walk to this page soon, so keep an eye out to see the day in pictures.
£1,800 Raised. Thank You!
We are overwhelmed by the generosity shown so far. £1,800 has now been raised towards Jamie’s new wheelchair, thanks to everyone who took part in the walk and everyone who has donated online. This is a huge step towards giving Jamie the comfort, mobility, and independence he deserves, and it wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing community. While the walk itself has taken place, the fundraiser is still running, and every additional donation continues to make a real difference to Jamie’s future. If you weren’t able to join us on the day, or would simply like to add to what’s already been raised, you can still donate directly to Laura Merryweather’s fundraiser, “Walking for Wheels for Jamie”.

Thank You
To everyone who walked, donated, shared, and cheered us on — thank you. Jamie’s journey towards greater independence is well underway, and with the fundraiser still open, there’s still time to help us go even further.
